Persona 5 Cafe
I loved working on this project and with my group. I have always been a fan of Persona 5 so when we decided to replicate this scene, I was ecstatic. One of my teammates set dressed the environment in Maya first and then I placed it in Unreal Engine and fixed any collision boxes that were messing up. Then I helped with set dressing, plugging in textures, and lighting. Of course I did work on modeling and texturing. Overall, I am pleased with what we did.
Modeling
Modeling was fun for this project. Everything was done in Maya and I found out new ways on making a model look good without turning it into a high poly. Almost all of my meshes have soften edges and I also added bevel edges to some meshes. A few shapes I felt it best to bake a high poly mesh onto the low poly mesh in substance.
Texturing
Texturing was a fun experience. I am a little bit colorblind so trying to copy all of the textures was a challenge for me but I did have some help. Through this project I learned new brushes and ways to texture an object that I was never aware of. I also figured out why texture sizes matter so much. When applying text to an object, I realized that the font looked really blurry on a smaller texture size so I had to raise it a little bit to see the print.
